VS at ACM IoT 2024
Distributed Systems attended the ACM International Conference on Internet of Things in Oulu, Finland, from November 19 to November 22, 2024.

As part of the Workshop Track, Peter Zdankin and Malte Josten successfully organized and hosted the 1st International Workshop on Longevity in IoT Systems (LongevIoT 2024). This included presentations of 3 peer-reviewed publications as well as keynotes by Prof. Dr. Stephan Sigg (Aalto University) and Le Nguyen (University of Oulu). René Lehmann supported the workshop as Session Chair.

Oskar Carl, on behalf of Dominic Marcinkowski, presented the publication WoT-PL, Harnessing Large Language Models for IoT Schema Translation: A Conceptual Framework and Preliminary Findings. In the poster session of the main track of the conference, Oskar Carl presented the poster of his paper BitTorrent-based Gossip Learning and was awarded the Best Poster Award.

The Distributed Systems Group visited the EAI International Conference on Digital Forensics and Cyber Crime in Dubrovnik, Croatia from October 9 - 10, 2024.
